Deck and Porch Guidelines- 10.2.2026

Deck & Porch Staining Notice October 2, 2026 |

|
Staining is finished for this year. Handrails will be done next year, likely in the fall. To protect the new stain, please follow these guidelines:
|
We are working on a maintenance schedule for routine staining, which will be shared once completed. |
|
|
No salt We will talk to KMR about an alternative for the winter. |
|
|
|
Lift, don't drag Do not drag anything across the decks. Lift items when moving them. |
|
|
|
Nothing that holds water No objects, rugs or mats that absorb water. Mats with holes that allow air to circulate are fine, but nothing that traps moisture underneath. |
|
|
|
No sharp objects This includes pet nails and toys. Scratches and wear from pets can damage the stain. Pet damage will not change the scheduled maintenance. Pet owners are responsible for any repairs or restaining it requires outside of that schedule. |

|
|
No metal shovels We will also talk to KMR about this for snow removal. |
|
|
Following these guidelines will help the stain last and keep our decks looking good. Thank you for your cooperation, and please reach out with any questions or concerns. |
